The Call
“The day you hear My voice…do not harden your heart.”— Hebrews 3:15
There is a moment—when God speaks. Not later. Not eventually. Today.
Pharaoh: A Warning, Not Just a Story
Most everyone has heard about Pharaoh—the plagues, the resistance, the refusal to repent.
But this is more than history. It is a warning.
Scripture shows both truths:
Pharaoh hardened his heart
And God hardened Pharaoh’s heart
— Exodus 8:15— Exodus 9:12
This is what happens when repeated refusal meets divine justice.
The Misunderstood Patience of God
Many speak of the love of God…as if there is no end to His patience.
But Scripture says otherwise.
— Romans 2:5
“Because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin,you are storing up wrath…for the day of God’s righteous judgment.”
God is patient—but His patience is not permission.
Repentance Is a Gift
Repentance is not automatic. It is not something we control.
It is granted.
— Acts 11:18
And yet—
— Romans 2:4
God’s kindness leads us there…but it does not force us.
The Danger of a Hardened Heart
“The warning is clear:do not harden your heart as Pharaoh did.”
Repeated rebellion…willful sin…testing God again and again…
This is not neutral.
— Hebrews 3:8
There is a point where resistance becomes condition.
When Delay Becomes Deception
— Ecclesiastes 8:11
“When the sentence for a crime is not quickly carried out, people’s hearts are filled with schemes to do wrong.”
Because judgment is delayed…people assume it’s dismissed.
But it is not dismissed. It is stored.
Time Is Not Unlimited
God has given man space to repent.
— Genesis 6:3
Life has limits.
— Psalm 90:10
From Adam until now—life has been shortened, not extended.
And still—
— Genesis 2:17
God meant what He said.
Grace Still Calls… But Not Forever
Even now—
— Romans 11:5
There is a remnant. There is still grace.
But grace rejected…has consequences.
The Point of No Return
It is dangerous to refuse the grace of God.
You can go too far.Stay too long.Miss the moment.
As Pharaoh hardened his heart—a person can be given over to the very thing they refuse to repent from.
— Romans 1:21— Romans 1:24
When truth is rejected long enough…darkness begins to feel normal.
Final Plea
Don’t throw away the gift.
Don’t ignore the voice.
Don’t resist the moment.
Repentance is a gift.Grace is extended.Mercy is available.
But the warning still stands—
“Today… if you hear His voice…do not harden your heart.”
— Hebrews 3:15
What is God calling me to respond to today… that I keep delaying?
